Coming in as underdogs, the Gold Coast Football Club showed some of last years swagger and got the job done against a very good NY Spartans. "It am very pleased with the win and hope more positive results will follow" said a Suns Spokesperson. Trailing for much of the match, the Suns fought back and did not settle for a draw either. Jeff Larentowicz came through with the game winner. The Suns have now won 2 in a row.

Alliance 3 Gold Coast 1

Week 4 recap/ The starting lineup struggled again and the Gold Coast Football Club has now lost 3 out of 4 matches. The players are on the pitch and getting the minutes, but are just not in the attack. In response to the latest result, the club is going to make moves. Given their walking papers right after the game were Thorrington and Gaven, in order to sign Chris Tierney and Eric Alexander. More moves are possible before the next match. "The losing has to stop now. Next week is Union SC. The first leg of the California Cup. The match circled on the schedule once its released. Preparations must be made to fix the problem areas before the first whistle. Trade offers from other BSL clubs will be seriously considered during this week." The first leg begins Wednesday so there is not a lot of time to make a deal.
