No Cups in 2012

Week 18: Gold Coast 3 Union SC 3
The frustrations uttered by the Gold Coast supports could be heard all around the stadium. A tie against Union SC was not what the standing room only crowd wanted to see at Sun's Stadium. The result sent the California Cup back to la la land. "No playoffs, No Majors, No California Cup. Its just a horrible season and the response is simple. Rebuilding will start in the offseason once trades are available again." said the Suns ownership.

A Good Outing, But Not Enough

Week 17: Pennsylvania 6 Gold Coast 3
Gold Coast got scores from Frings, Cummings, and Lindpere, but just could not keep up with one of the hottest teams in the league. "The Stoners have a lot of weapons and should be considered a real threat to win the BSL Cup." said the Suns spokesperson.

Next on the schedule is the 2nd leg of the California Cup against heated rival Union Southern California. The current aggregate is 2-1 in favor of the Union. "There is still 90 minutes to play and anything can happen."

Lots Going On

Week 16: Gold Coast 3 Second City 3
What a week it was in the BSL. First there was the game. A competitive and fierce 3-3 tie. Then there was the return of Steve Zakuani, who played around 6 minutes and is something positive for the Gold Coast fans to cheer for in what appears to be a meaningless last 6 matches. Finally there was the drama over the 4 year old multiple game scoring of the BSL. With the final stretch of the season heating up and probably the most competitive race for first place the league has ever had, emotions must be running high. The Commissioner refused to comment on the matter only to say he was not pleased with the recent comments from some clubs owners. All this brings adds to the storyline for next weeks action.
