Suns Fall Before A Break In Schedule

Gm 12:  Burud Town 3 Gold Coast 2
Gold Coast FC got points from Chris Tierney and Jeff Larentowicz, but ultimately lost to Burud Town on a late score to fall to a 5-7-0 record and 0-1-0 in Majors Cup qualifiers.
Gold Coast FC will have plenty of time to assess the issues facing the club with a 2 week break. It has been a streaky season so far. Losing 5 of 6 to start, then winning 4 in a row, and now losing 2 straight. The plan is to bring in some fresh faces before week 13.

The qualifers are here!! Majors Cup might be more important than making the playoffs. Shocked by those comments from the club President. The supports speak, and participating and winning against the top 4 BSL clubs in the final stretch of games, plus the 4 MLS Cup winners from a year ago, is where its at. There must be Suns games in September/October. Otherwise its a long off season watching rivals play without you. The playoffs are important. The BSL Cup crowns the league Champion, and the Suns were in the Final last year, so the committment is there, just the Majors Cup is a big event in Northern California and another Championship is cried for.

Last minute goal is 4th straight win

Week 10 score: Gold Coast 2 Alamo City 1

Joel Lindpere's goal in the closing minutes of the match propelled the Gold Coast Football Club to a 4th straight win. With 15 points in the table, the Suns are only 1 point out of the top 4. "It sure is nice to pull out this victory. Winning is great. Starting the first 6 games 1-5-0 was tough, but now that is all ancient history."
