Preview: Week 4

Last week the Suns 3-1 win was a positive step, but the fact remains it was just one win. This week the goal to pick up another 3 points and continue to show improvement. The challenger, Alliance FC is also off to a slower than expected start and the objective will be to strike early and often. Gold Coast 3 Second City 1

Week 3 Recap/ The term "must win" is one of the most over-used phrases. After 2 weeks of poor play, Gold Coast FC, needed a breakout game and got it against Second City. The Suns finally got on the board when Matt Reis recorded his first clean sheet for the season. The starters added some pop as well and there was finally a reason to celebrate in Northern California in 2012.

The player of the game was Omar Cummings who was struggling to score goals since last year. The goal insured the win and may be the momentum needed for Omar to find himself.

Preview: Week 3

The club is a mess. Frings is injured 4 to 6 weeks. Zakuani is not ready for minutes yet. Larentowicz has to miss a match for his red card. In short the Suns will have no subs available for week 3 against Second City. Jacobson will get the start by default in his first week as a Gold Coast player. The club needs to find its offense and inject the season with some optimism. Bad to Worse

Things went from bad to worse after suffering another shut out loss. "Can someone score a freaking point!!" cried the Suns spokesperson. The players on the pitch are not preforming and no one's position is safe for too long. The club has already made one move adding Andrew Jacobson to the roster in preparation for week 3. "Another loss or two and more moves will be made!!"

Preview: Week 2

The Gold Coast Football Club will look to score its first points of the season against Gateway United. "We are going to put last week behind us and focus on the task at hand. Playing this club is tough enough with momentum, playing Gateway United after being shut out is darn right scary." The Suns will debut the club alternate kit in the match.

A Big Fat Zero

Week one....What a nightmare! The game clock kept on ticking and the scoreline remained zero. The only zero the club ever wants to see is its sponsor "Bank Zero". What happened? To lose to this club again, to lose by a 1-0 score, to be shut out. The next match cannot get here any sooner. The next match is against the always tough Gateway United, so the roster better fix itself quick.
