On Top After 10

Gold Coast 3 Hillcrest United 0Exactly mid way into the 2011 season, the Gold Coast Football Club is sitting in first place for the first time in club history. The clubs 7-2-1 record is best in the BSL and the club also has the best APG in the league as well. "The season is not over yet. There is still 10 games to play. It is nice to be in this position." said a Suns spokesperson.

Reis Saves the Club

Gold Coast 3 Alliance 3

It was a struggle the whole way through as the Suns offense was held a bay. If not for the great goal keeping of Matt Reis the match would have been a disaster.

Match Day 9

Gold Coast vs Alliance
Taking a look at the roster on Alliance and a 2-5-0 record is very misleading. There is a lot of potential and therefore any indication that this is an easy win is pure speculation. This is going to be a real challenge.

Coming off a great win over Alamo City, the Suns will have no time to rest on the bragging rights. Next up starting on Wednesday is another tough opponent. The CD Gunners bring a 4-1-1 record to Suns Stadium. A packed house is expected for this nationally televised GAME OF THE WEEK. "It is always a pleasure to play a former Honors Trophy winner. But make no mistake the objective is to win with the same flare as last week" said a Suns spokesperson.

Big Score, Big Win

Gold Coast 7 Alamo City 3
The players of Gold Coast must have taken offense to the comments made earlier in the week about how the club cannot compete against an Alamo City squad if it scores another 7 points. The Suns brought THE HEAT and picked apart the Texas club. 10 points were scored, but only 7 counted in this match. How do you like them Apples!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
